Bradenton downtown is a waterfront city located on the Manatee River south of Tampa in Manatee County. The downtown and surrounding area consists of diverse real estate. Bradenton also celebrates pioneer history. It is where the annual Florida cross-state Florida Cracker Trail horseback ride begins. Every February the ride begins in Bradenton and ends with a parade through downtown Ft. Pierce. The riders go about 120 miles altogether. The purpose of the ride is to celebrate Florida’s pioneer horse and cattle heritage.
