West Bradenton area towards the beaches, Anna Maria is a seven-mile barrier island strip of beautiful white-sandy beaches with azure blue water views of the Gulf of Mexico and looking out to West Bradenton. Anna Maria is another favorite vacation destination area that attracts tourism. Here you can find lovely gulf beachfront homes, deep water canal homes, Key West style bungalows, mid-rise condos, townhomes, and villas. Bradenton Beach and Holmes Beach are cities on Anna Maria Island.
Bradenton also celebrates pioneer history. It is where the annual Florida cross-state Florida Cracker Trail horseback ride begins. Every February the ride begins in Bradenton and ends with a parade through downtown Ft. Pierce. The riders go about 120 miles altogether. The purpose of the ride is to celebrate Florida’s pioneer horse and cattle heritage.
